Mama-You gave birth to me and nurtured me as a child.
You loved and understood me in a way no one could or has ever since.
You let me play with your hair.
You scratched my back every Sunday morning in church.
When you said "It's going to be okay," it really was okay. Only you could do that.
I had no doubt that you loved me unconditionally, but I am still amazed at how you loved others unconditionally. Even as a child I could see it.
You were the first person I knew who made a difficult decision in the face of fear to make an eternal impact.
You did not do, in that situation, what most would expect to be the loving, appropriate, and completely obvious thing for a mother with young children to do. Yet, I could never thank you enough for doing what you did. You have shaped who I am today and who I am still becoming.
I love you and miss you.
You make life fun.
You have made our family complete.
You brought joy when there was sorrow.
You taught me a whole new level of love and sacrifice.
You gave me space when I needed it.
You were right next to me when it counted the most.
You were the Mother of the Bride.
My children call you Grandma.
You are the perfect listener.
You are irrevocably irreplaceable and I love you more than you could ever know.
You give the best hugs.
You are full of love, compassion and tenderness.
You raised my husband.
You raised a man with conviction, integrity, dedication, and a steady calm.
You raised a man who is not only perfect for me, but the only man who can handle my intensity and still love me always.
You gave him love, security, patience, and confidence. All of these things, he now gives me.
Thank you for loving him.
Thank you for loving me.
You are the most wonderful mother-in-law and I love you.
